Q:Why do I need to fill out health and
immunization records?
A: This is a
State and host campus requirement.
Q: Is there a discount if more than one member
of my family attends SuperCamp?
A: An
additional $20 per camper may be deducted for multiple family members if
paid in full when sending in registrations.
Q: What should I bring to
camp?
A: After you
register, you will receive a confirmation letter with specific
guidelines for what to bring to camp. We recommend you bring
enough clothing to change several times each day including extra
shorts, t-shirts, socks, and footwear. Please break in new sneakers well
before camp to avoid blisters. Overnight campers also need to
bring toiletries, linens, medications and prescriptions, a blanket, fan,
alarm clock, phone, and a pillow.
Q: What is the latest I can
register for camp?
A: Enrollment
is limited and campers are accepted on a first-come first served basis,
Every camp has a different "late date" for registration. There
will be a $25 late charge for every registration paid after this date.
Please see the camp brochure or the registration materials posted in the
"Register" section of this site for more details.
Q: What if I can't make it to camp in time for
check-in?
A: We remain in
the gym until 9:00 p.m. the first evening. All other late sign-in
should report to the residence hall.
Q: If I register now, but
decide not to attend, will my camp deposit be refunded?
A: Refunds are available for
medical reasons only. Upon receipt of a doctor’s note, the camper will be
given full credit toward a future SuperCamp or SuperClinic.
Q: How are overnight campers
supervised?
A: There is 24
hour medical coverage and overnight
campers are supervised by both senior and junior staff members in their
residence halls. Coaches maintain strict control over quiet time and designated
"lights out" times. Campers are supervised at all times!
Q: Am I allowed to leave camp once it has begun?
A: "Permission
to Leave" forms are available when you check in and must be filled out
at that time. Campers may only leave with a family member unless the
parent/guardian provides written permission for the camper to leave with
someone else.
Q: Are cars allowed on campus?
A: Campers are
not allowed to have their own vehicle on campus or to drive to
camp. Campers will be dismissed immediately for failure to comply with
this important safety policy.
Q: What is the player to coach ratio?
A: 6-1 at
skills camps and 8-1 and team camps.
Q: Are parents allowed to view camp sessions?
A: Parents are
encouraged to visit camp; please contact us if you need a list of hotels
in the area.
Q: Can I pick my own
roommate?
A: Every camper is given the
option to suggest a roommate preference, and SuperCamps makes every effort
to accommodate all requests. However due to housing availability and
floor layouts, some requests may not be met.
Q: Are phones available in the residence halls?
A: Campers may
bring a cell phone or plug in phone as wall jacks are provided for local
or calling card calls. There are also pay phones available in the
residence halls.
Q: What activities are available besides sports
skills and drills?
A: SuperCamps
offer a variety of supervised evening activities in the residence halls
including pizza night, video night, skit night, coaches "chalk talks'
and other fun social activities.
Q: What if I get hurt or
sick?
A: Medical care is provided by
EMTs and certified athletic trainers during camp sessions and in the
residence halls at night. Medical emergencies are referred to the Health
Center at the host facility or to the area hospital if necessary.
Q: Does SuperCamps cover my
health insurance while I am at camp?
A: SuperCamps and SuperClinics
strongly recommends that camp participants be covered by personal/family
helath insurance. In the event of an illness or injury requiring
treatment, hospitalization and/or surgery, family medical insurance must
be used. Camper insurance information is required on the
registration/health forms.
